BiP Select provides buyers with a formalised mechanism for assessment of pre-qualification documentation which is an integral part of the majority of tendering exercises.

Public sector organisations require assurance that potential suppliers across the EU are suitable to tender for public contract opportunities in terms of their legal, financial and technical capacity.

Select Accredit applicants will be fully assessed and accredited to the same exacting standards as those set by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). This provides buyers with the assurance that they meet a respected government accreditation standard.

Select Accredit is also endorsed and has been formally adopted by the Society of Procurement Officers in Local Government (SOPO), the professional body for local government procurement officers that represents over 2600 members across over 80% of local authorities.

The system is fully compliant with EU Procurement Directives as it is completely inclusive to all suppliers by offering the ability for suppliers to self-certify free of charge.

The system is also integrated with the Constructionline service and BiP Select buyers have full access to the Constuctionline service.
